About Allison
I got a degree in Audio Production because I like to make mix tapes, and got into Community Radio because I like scrappy nonconformists. While at KDHX in St. Louis, Missouri, I produced two interstitials, The Nonprofit Spotlight and The Music Director’s Cut, and a podcast about local music called The Way We Sound. I also gained experience in live sound production, on-air hosting and board operation, mixing for video, event production, marketing, and web editing. I left KDHX to attend the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Subsequent freelance work included producing for independent podcasts like No Place Like Home, Generation Anthropocene, and IVFU. Currently I am the Production Manager for BirdNote.
