• The German Chancellor Fellowship from the Humboldt Foundation
Deadline: September 15, 2017
Details: Individuals from Brazil, China, India, Russia, and the U.S. who have graduated within the last 12 years are eligible for a year in Germany “networking with other prospective leaders from abroad to explore new solutions to global issues.” Fellows also receive a stipend of up to $3,083 monthly.

• Alicia Patterson Reporting Fellowship
Deadline: October 1, 2017
Details: A stipend of $40,000 for 12 months and $20,000 for six months to support print journalists in the pursuit of projects “engaged in rigorous, independent and skeptical work that will benefit the public.”

• Mother Jones Ben Bagdikian Fellowship Program
Deadline: October 1, 2017
Details: A six-month crash course in investigative journalism with focuses on: Editorial, social media, digital, and strategic communications. Fellows receive a $2,275 monthly stipend.

• Wilson Center Fellowships
Deadline: October 1, 2017
Details: A nine-month fellowship for public policy and global issues journalists. Fellows receive an award of up to $85,000.

• Carmago Core Program
Deadline: October 17, 2017
Details: 18 artists, scholars, and thinkers receive a monthly $1,000 stipend to work in Cassis, France.
