Video + Social Media Editor

As the Video and Social Media Editor you will be responsible for creating engaging long and short form video content, tailor them for our social media platforms, and deliver content that promotes our original productions and client work. This role requires a strong blend of video editing skills, and creativity.

This is a role with a base salary of $50-65K with PTO. We are open to working in a full-time or part-time capacity.

 

Job Description

Role Duties: 

  • Edit video content to ensure high-quality audio and video that encapsulate our brand identity and messaging, while keeping storytelling at the forefront.

  • Collaborate closely with our production and marketing teams to conceptualize and edit engaging video content. 

  • Attend production meetings to update the team regarding video asset production.

  • Create short video clips, teasers, highlights, and quote graphics tailored to the podcast's target audience and platform preferences for social media platforms. 

  • Edit full-length video episodes (recorded both virtually on Riverside, and in-studio). 

  • Create, update manage a monthly social calendar.

  • Tailor video content for different social media platforms based on the client's branding guidelines. 

  • Design custom graphics, thumbnails, and visual assets that reflect the client's brand identity and enhance the visibility of productions on social media.

  • Maintain communication and feedback loops with clients throughout the video creation process, ensuring their satisfaction and making necessary revisions as needed.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in video editing, content creation, technologies and digital storytelling to provide clients with innovative solutions and to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our content.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to brainstorm and execute innovative video projects and campaigns.

  • Pitch ideas and work with Producers to create more listenership for our podcasts.

  • Demonstrate growth and community engagement across our social media channels.

  • Work with CEO and team on messaging to ensure there is alignment across all of our channels.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Shares our excitement about the work we are creating and is passionate about our continued growth.

  • Is proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects and is adept in color correction, audio enhancement, and other post-production techniques.

  • Has experience working in video editing for Podcast, Television or Film (or related experience).

  • Creates video content for platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.

  • Has Excellent graphic design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.

  • Comfortable communicating with clients to understand their vision and engage with their audience.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and digital content creation.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Is strongly aligned with editaudio’s mission to make podcasting more representative of the world we live in.

  • Is passionate about connecting with industry members and continuing to learn about new trends in podcasting.

  • Is comfortable working remotely and with team members located in different time zones.

  • Is self-motivated to manage their own schedule and collaborating with team members.
