Reporter

Posted: January 11, 2024

KHOL in Jackson, Wyoming, has an immediate opening for a dynamic journalist. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an invigorated, growing public media organization in one of the most beautiful places in the country.

People are indeed drawn to Jackson Hole for the area’s scenic charm and recreational opportunities, but residents are also deeply civically engaged. Listeners demand context, nuance and perspective when it comes to the area’s pressing issues. Teton County is the wealthiest county in the U.S., but that results in massive economic inequality, a historic housing crisis and marginalized populations fighting for a seat at the table. Located near two national parks, we’re also part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem — one of the largest intact ecosystems in the world. Coverage revolves around the impacts of climate change, and the growing pains of a conservation mecca reliant on a tourism-based economy.
