If you liked Beyond The Odds, the MQ2 project which gave poetic voice to the experiences of young people living with HIV in the U.S., then you should definitely check out Love in a Time of HIV, a BBC World documentary series airing on Showtime this month. The programs take us from South Africa to Russia to New York City to tell the stories of young people living with the AIDS virus. The series was produced last year but feels fresh as ever. The episodes are also posted here.
According to the United Nations, over 40 percent of new HIV infections globally happen to people under the age of 25. This is a generation that has never known a world without AIDS. Perhaps one day they will.
