Bio: Martina Castro is a radio producer/editor/trainer currently based in Santiago, Chile. Over the past 12 years, she has worked for NPR and KALW, produced and edited award-winning work that has aired nationally and in the Bay Area. For the past five years she has produced the Spanish-language podcast, Radio Ambulante, of which she is also co-founder.
In 2015 she went to Montevideo, Uruguay on a Fulbright grant to teach narrative radio storytelling at the university level, producing a documentary series on reverse migration with her students that became an audio exhibit at the Museo de Migraciones in Montevideo in August of 2016.
She is now a podcast consultant and independent producer in Chile, who appreciates the occasional hike/surf/camping excursion. If you're ever in the area, please say hi!
