My mentor helped me set up Pro Tools and introduced me to the program. He really understood what a radio producer needs to get out of Pro Tools, and skipped the musician-related stuff. I now have a far more robust and portable DAW. I can file from Oakland or Kabul, assuming someone will pay my way to Kabul.
-- Reese Erlich, Mentee
The mentee was an early careerist who'd produced a few features, but wanted advice on pitching, freelancing for news programs, grant writing, etc. During the course of this mentorship, Gregory chose/researched a topic & completed a fellowship application. He was a wonderful mentee. He was eager to learn and quickly put our conversations into practice. Several of his pitches were accepted and he produced several features as a result.
