About Florencia
Podcaster and radio producer with a postgraduate degree in Communication from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. She has managed the audio project Tristana producciones since 2014.
As a member of the program "Graves y agudas," she won the Lola Mora Award in 2015 in the radio category. She produced "Fuera de libreto," an acting podcast, which won the Argentores Award in 2019 in the podcast category. As the scriptwriter of "Hermanas Bravas," she won the awards for "Best Podcast" and "Audience Award" at the International Festival of New Non-Fiction Narratives (FINNOF). Edition 2023.
In 2015, she was selected by the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation to participate in the Radio Ambulante Workshop led by Daniel Alarcón and Martina Castro. Additionally, in 2017, she was chosen by WNYC Studios to participate in the 2017 edition of the Werk It Festival in California.

Stella Forner will never forget her first wedding anniversary. It was March of 1976 and she spent the day at the Mexican consulate in Montevideo, Uruguay, which was in the midst of a military dictatorship. She, her husband and their baby weren’t there for a romantic celebration but to ask for political asylum. They had no idea how long it would be until they again felt at home in their own country.
